Skin cancer screening \/ birthmark check<\/h3>

The earlier the diagnosis, the better the prognosis. Skin cancer is one of the most common forms of cancer in humans. A regular check-up can help to detect the disease at an early stage and to take countermeasures. We recommend a skin cancer screening at our clinic at least once a year.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n

Surgical dermatology<\/h3>

All minor surgical procedures are performed in the office under local anesthesia. This means that you can go home immediately after the procedure. Larger operations, especially those that require an inpatient stay or deeper anesthesia, are performed by Dr. Bergmann-Caucig at the Rudolfinerhaus Private Clinic.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n

Venereology<\/h3>

The treatment of sexually transmitted diseases is also part of our range of services. Screening is usually done by means of a smear test, a blood test in the office or in a specialized laboratory. We offer professional, discreet consultation and treatment.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n

Allergies<\/h3>

We usually perform allergy testing with a blood test, which can be used to test up to 300 allergens simultaneously. The tests are suitable for both young children and adults, as often only a small prick in the fingertip is needed to perform them. By means of hyposensitization (immunotherapy) with modern methods, such as medication to swallow at home, but also with well-tried injections, we help to get your allergy under control and to prevent the floor change to the lungs (asthma).<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n

Skin diseases in children<\/h3>

Babies and children are very welcome in our practice! As a dermatologist and mother, Dr. Bergmann-Caucig is very concerned that the visit of our young patients in the practice is as pleasant as possible and that the children like to come back.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n

Excessive sweating (hyperhidrosis)<\/h3>

About 1-2% of the population suffers from excessive sweating, which occurs without a triggering cause (such as heat or physical exertion). After a detailed examination, which clarifies whether a disease is hidden behind this symptom, the treatment options are shown in a consultation. These include special local therapies from the pharmacy, but also tablets or even injections.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n

Acne and rosacea<\/h3>

Two different skin diseases that are very common in society and often confused because they can have similar symptoms. We provide you with an accurate diagnosis with appropriate treatment protocol with creams or tablets, depending on the severity of the disease. Often we also recommend further therapy in our institute for medical cosmetics, as regular medical-cosmetic treatment can be useful for these clinical pictures, as well as the use of an IPL device or laser.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n

Chronic skin diseases<\/h3>

These are long-term diseases of the skin that are usually not curable, but can often be treated and controlled very well, such as<\/p>\n

  • Neurodermatitis<\/strong>
    Atopic dermatitis is a skin disease which is called atopic eczema and can be accompanied by itching, allergies and sometimes asthma. Triggers for this disease are many, as are treatment options, which must be treated through targeted therapies and patient education.<\/li>\n
  • Psoriasis<\/strong>
    Also known as psoriasis, psoriasis is a chronic skin disease caused by an overproduction of skin cells. For this disease in particular, there are now excellent state-of-the-art treatment options under which patients can lead a completely normal life without skin symptoms or stigmatization.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n

    Skin growths<\/h3>

    A large number of skin neoplasms such as warts, fibromas or age-related keratoses are considered benign. They do not pose a threat to our health, but should nevertheless be examined regularly or, if desired, can be removed for cosmetic reasons. For this purpose, we use various modern lasers or conventional methods such as liquid nitrogen or curettage.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n

    Scar treatments<\/h3>

    Scars occur for a variety of reasons, such as injury, surgery or acne. In their appearance, scars can vary extremely. We offer a variety of different treatment options through our large equipment pool to improve the appearance of scars. It is important to start treatment as soon as possible after the appearance of a scar. Ideally, already a few days after the appearance of the scar!<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n

    Ulcers and wound healing disorders<\/h3>
